With buried the filter tubes shallowly , surface soil could be wetted rapidly and watered enough for lettuce growth , deep percolation reduced noticeably , and irrigation water use efficiency improved obviously .

渗灌管浅埋灌水可以使表层土壤较快地湿润，并达到蔬菜生长所要求的水分，同时显著减少灌溉水的深层渗漏，提高灌溉水的利用率。

Comparation of experiment data with calculation results indicates that under the condition of different irrigation quota , the application amount by 60 mm of water each time can basically satisfy the needs for plant growth and cause little loss by deep percolation .
